ITINERARY
Day 1 — Arrival Day – Bintan (Sunday, August 23, 2026)
- 12:00 pm Meet your host Adrian Lawson at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, Singapore
- 2:00 pm Depart Singapore on Ferry to Bintan Resorts
- 2:00 pm (Local Time) Arrive on Bintan Island, clear customs, and transfer to Movenpick Resort and Spa Bintan Lagoon for check-in
- 7:00 pm Tour Briefing at Lobby Bar

Mövenpick Resort and Spa Bintan Lagoon
Just a short ferry ride from Singapore, Mövenpick Resort and Spa Bintan Lagoon offers an ideal escape on a pristine beach. The Jack Nicklaus Seaview Course
Five tees make the Golden Bear’s Sea View course very playable for golfers of all handicaps. From the championship tees, the course stretches out to a very challenging 6,443 meters. Factor in the cooling winds, which blow in from the South China Sea, and you can find yourself in a quandary over club selection, especially at the signature hole, the par three 12th, which plays directly towards the sea. The layout is undoubtedly one of Indonesia’s best seaside holes.
The Sea View course is not only about the panoramic South China Sea views. Like in so many Jack Nicklaus courses, strategy and placing of your shots is the secret to playing them well, and this time the master has created a layout where playing it safe and keeping out of trouble is key.
Day 3 — Tournament Round 2 (Tuesday, August 25, 2026)
- 6:30 am Buffet breakfast available.
- 8:30 am Transfer to Laguna Golf Club (Norman Course)
- 9:30 am Round 2 – Tee Off
- Post-Round Lunch at Clubhouse
- 3:00 pm Return to Resort. Take in a massage or swim in the pool
- 6:00 pm Leaderboard, Fines & Presentation at Lobby Bar

Laguna Golf Bintan
The golf course starts with unique sea views on holes 2 to 4, then wraps around the tranquil lagoons of holes 6 to 8, before challenging golfers with a winding uphill 9th hole par 4 played towards the clubhouse.
Holes 10 to 15 play through dense jungle and the unique rock formations. The highlight of the golf course is still yet to come, as the long par 4, hole 16 plays through the jungle back towards the sea. Arriving at the penultimate signature hole 17, golfers are challenged to play directly over the spectacular natural rock formations, from a tee perched over the sea.
Day 4 — Team Challenge Ambrose Day (Wednesday, August 26, 2026)

The IBF Woodlands Course
Ian Baker-Finch Woodlands Course is magnificently laid out in pristine rainforest designed with the front nine holes snaking out from the resort and the back nine to the clubhouse.
The Woodlands course has been laid out over dramatically changing the terrain. The main feature of this course is the large undulation of the natural landscape. The overall concept for the Ian Baker-Finch course was to work closely with the physical site leaving the jungle on both sides of the fairways and significant elevation changes.
Day 5 — Tournament Round 3 (Thursday, August 27, 2026)
- 6:30 am - Buffet breakfast available
- 8:30 am Transfer to Ria Bintan Ocean Course
- 9:30 am Round 3 – Tee Off
- Post-Round – Lunch at Clubhouse
- Return to Resort and relax for the afternoon.

Ria Bintan Ocean Course
Set amidst pristine white beaches, clear emerald waters and lush tropical forests, Ria Bintan Golf Club is a 27-hole championship course designed by world-celebrated golfing legend, Gary Player.
The breathtaking 18-hole Ocean Course features smooth fairways with beautiful views of the South China Sea. It is the choice venue of many regional events including the annual Golf Asia Challenge, Revo Coca-Cola Golf Carnival as well as the Ria Bintan Open, offering an enjoyable experience for both all golfing enthusiasts.
Day 6 — Final Tournament Round 4 (Friday, August 28, 2026)

- 8:30 am Walk to Clubhouse at BLR Jack Nicklaus Seaview Course
- 9:30 am Final Round – Tee Off
- Post-Round – Lunch at Clubhouse

BINTAN ’25 was a really enjoyable golf holiday. After meeting the group for 1st time at the ferry terminal in Singapore, I knew I had made the right decision and bring on BINTAN.
The trip was expertly organised with fantastic manicured golf courses to play along the coast and up into the Jungle . The caddies were fantastic and made the experience even better.
So many memories that keep coming to mind.
Every day finished in the resort pool or with a relaxing massage to get ready for the next round, after of course our tasty evening Indo meal then to the karoke bar if you wish and had spare energy.

I was on a recent trip to Bintan Island. The tour was Golf Travel Australia’s trip to Bintan Island delivers exactly what it promises for the travelling golfer: a straight forward, well-organised escape focused on great courses and relaxation.

Transfers from Singapore’s ferry terminal to the resort were smooth, and the accommodation at Nirwana Gardens was comfortable and perfectly situated for the golf. Playing the Ria Bintan course is worth the trip alone—a spectacular oceanside course with breathtaking holes along the cliffs.
